  5 Scènes Explosives renders an explosion from different angles, moments, and speeds. This work, while neither linear nor representational, seeks to capture the velocities, colors, and intensities of the event and its aftermath. The flute battery provides extended pitch, color, and dynamic ranges to complement the capabilities of the computer.

  The work was composed for the flutist/composer Lisa Bost-Sandberg, who provided valuable feedback, as well as countless hours of rehearsal, during the creation of the work.
